GLP-1 Prices in Thailand: Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy & Retatrutide

Thailand is one of the cheapest developed markets in the world for GLP-1 weight loss treatment, but published prices are close to useless for planning, because almost every quote you will find is a unit price rather than a monthly cost. A pen is not a month for every drug, dose escalation changes your spend substantially over the first three months, and clinic packages bundle in services that a pharmacy price does not include. This page gives current Thai prices in baht for every GLP-1 route available here, and then works out what each one actually costs you per month.

Three rules make GLP-1 quotes comparable.

Convert everything to a monthly cost: A Mounjaro KwikPen holds about four weekly doses, so one pen is roughly one month — the pen price is the monthly price. Saxenda is a daily injection, so a single pen lasts a matter of days and you need four to five per month; its low per-pen price of ฿2,500–฿3,500 becomes ฿10,000–฿15,000 monthly. Research-grade vials are priced by total milligrams, so your monthly cost depends entirely on your weekly dose.

Budget for the dose you will end on, not the one you start at: GLP-1 treatment titrates upward. On Mounjaro, month one at 2.5 mg costs ฿11,000–฿14,900, but a 10 mg maintenance dose costs ฿20,000–฿25,900 — your spend rises by roughly 80% between starting and maintenance, and people routinely budget for the starter price and get caught out.

Compare like with like on clinic packages: A clinic package at ฿15,000–฿28,000 per month typically includes doctor follow-ups, InBody composition scans and baseline metabolic blood panels. Set against a bare pharmacy pen price, it looks expensive; set against a pen plus separately-paid consultations and blood work, it often is not.

Mounjaro is approved in Thailand and dispensed through clinics and hospital pharmacies after a consultation. It produces the largest average weight loss of any approved option — roughly 22.5% at the highest studied doses — and it is priced accordingly. The dose tiers below are the clearest way to budget, because the pen is effectively a month's supply. Availability is best in Bangkok; outside the capital, clinics tend to stock only the strengths they routinely use, and the 12.5 mg and 15 mg pens are the hardest to source.

Semaglutide is the most widely available GLP-1 in Thailand and generally the cheapest approved route. Ozempic carries a type 2 diabetes label and is extensively used off-label for weight loss at ฿8,000–฿13,700 per pen. Wegovy is the same molecule licensed specifically for obesity at higher doses up to 2.4 mg, priced at ฿13,900–฿22,900 — you are paying for the dedicated obesity label and the higher dose, not a different drug. Saxenda uses liraglutide, an older and less effective GLP-1 requiring daily rather than weekly injection; its per-pen price looks attractive until you account for needing four to five pens a month.

Retatrutide is the outlier. It produced the largest weight loss ever recorded in a trial at 28.7%, and it is by far the cheapest option per milligram in Thailand — but it is not licensed by the Thai FDA, so there is no clinic or pharmacy route at all. What you are buying is research-grade lyophilised powder that you reconstitute and dose yourself, with quality assured only by the vendor's certificate of analysis. The vial prices below understate the monthly cost significantly: at a 12 mg weekly maintenance dose you are using roughly 48 mg per month, so more than a full 30 mg vial. Larger vials are cheaper per milligram, which is why most buyers at maintenance doses buy 30 mg.

If you want the safest path and can absorb the cost, a clinic package on Mounjaro or Wegovy is the right answer — the bundled monitoring genuinely matters on drugs that affect appetite, blood sugar and gallbladder function. If cost is the binding constraint, Ozempic through a pharmacy is the cheapest approved route and has the longest real-world safety record of any option here. Research-grade retatrutide is the cheapest by a wide margin, and the honest framing is that the saving buys you an unapproved compound with no regulatory oversight, no manufacturer accountability, and full responsibility for sterile handling and dose accuracy resting on you. That is a defensible choice for someone equipped to verify a COA and dose precisely, and a poor one for a first-time user.
